Canada's decision to join the deployment of a contingent in Ukraine after the conclusion of a peace agreement depends on the circumstances. This was stated by Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney in an interview with Radio-Canada Info, reports UNN.
It depends on the circumstances. Canada is part of the "coalition of the willing" led by Macron and Starmer (leaders of France and Britain - ed.). I have attended several meetings of this coalition. This is one of the aspects of my discussions with these two leaders
- said Carney.
The Canadian Prime Minister also noted that it is unacceptable to conclude any peace agreements that will not be supported by Ukraine. In addition, he rejected the possibility of fulfilling any ultimatums from Russia regarding the political leadership of Ukraine.
"I am very proud of the role of the Canadian government and the support of Canadians for the people of Ukraine. For me, any peace agreements that Ukraine does not agree to, as well as Putin's demands to replace Zelensky as president, are unacceptable," Carney stressed.
