Due to martial law, April 17 will be a working day

Due to martial law, the Monday after Easter April 17th will not be a day off. This is regulated by labor legislation, which was updated in 2022 after the start of a full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine. Informs Freedom Matrix.

Eastern Rite Christians will celebrate Easter on Sunday, April 16, 2023.

According to labor law, if a holiday or non-working day coincides with a calendar day off, then the holiday is transferred to the next day after the holiday or non-working day. However, during the period of martial law, this rule will not apply, and Ukrainians are not allowed three days off in a row, so Monday, April 17, will be a working day.
