Memorial days: the State Emergency Service warned of the danger of visiting cemeteries in the de-occupied territories.
A week after Easter, memorial days will come, which are traditionally accompanied by visits to cemeteries. However, most cemeteries in the de-occupied territories of Ukraine remain dangerous to visit due to the presence of mines. Therefore, before going to the cemetery, you need to follow the reports of local authorities, whether it is cleared of explosives or not. Informs Freedom Matrix.
Alexander Khorunzhiy, a representative of the State Emergency Service (GSChS), said this at a briefing.
Khorunzhiy stressed that residents should definitely consult with local authorities to find out if it is possible to visit certain cemeteries. Local authorities receive full information about the completion of mine clearance in areas where it is necessary.
The most dangerous zones in Ukraine are the territories of Kherson region, Kharkiv region, partly Mykolaiv region, Zaporozhye, Donetsk region, Sumy region and Chernihiv region. Even in the Kyiv region, although almost all critical infrastructure and life support facilities have been cleared, some forest areas and fields remain mined. In this regard, it is important to remain vigilant and follow the instructions of local authorities in order to avoid possible dangers.
For "specific objects," the press secretary of the State Emergency Service advises clarifying detailed information.
“Detailed information needs to be clarified on specific objects on the ground. In particular, in the Kharkiv region, if I am not mistaken, more than 500 cemeteries can be mined,” Alexander Khorunzhiy said.
