Details: Stoltenberg noted that the unprecedented assistance provided by NATO member states to Ukraine has helped it to survive as a sovereign independent state.
"But Ukraine needs even more support, and they need it now. The Ukrainians are not running out of courage, they are running out of ammunition. Together, we have the capacity to provide Ukraine with what it needs, and now we need to show the political will to do so.
All allies need to dig deep and deliver quickly. Every day of delay has real consequences on the battlefield in Ukraine," he stressed.
"This is a critical moment. And it would be a grave historic mistake to allow Putin to prevail," Stoltenberg added.
In his speech, the security general also cited the results of a survey conducted in all member states, according to which two-thirds of respondents were in favour of further support for Ukraine.
The survey also showed a high level of support for NATO membership in these countries, including in the United States.
