Russia launches 99 drones at Ukraine from three directions: Air defense works

Russia attacked Ukraine with drones and decoys from three directions. Air defense shot down 57 strike enemy UAVs, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports. RBC-Ukraine informs.


During the night of March 24, Russia carried out a massive attack using Shahed-type strike UAVs and various types of decoy drones. The enemy drones were launched from the directions of Millerovo, Kursk, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia).


To repel the air assault, aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and Defense Forces of Ukraine were engaged.


Air defense responses

As of 08:00 a.m. Kyiv time, 57 Shahed-type strike UAVs were shot down in the south, north, west, and center of the country. In addition, 36 decoy drones were lost locally, causing no negative consequences. As a result of the massive attack, the Kyiv, Kharkiv, Sumy, Kirovohrad, and Zaporizhzhia regions were affected.


Consequences of Russia’s attack on Ukraine

On the night of March 24, Russian forces attacked the Kyiv region with drones. Damage was recorded in one of the districts, and one person was injured.


The previous night, the Russians also targeted the Kyiv region with drones. As a result of that attack, two people were injured, private houses and a car were damaged, and a fire broke out at one of the enterprises.
