Zelenskyy enacts new sanctions: targeting former politicians from Yanukovych era

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has enacted a new decision of the National Security and Defense Council on sanctions against four individuals, including former Ukrainian politicians Serhiy Arbuzov and Andriy Klyuyev, according to Presidential Decree No. 231/2025 of April 12, writes UNN.
Details "To enact the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine of April 12, 2025 "On the application of personal special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions)", the decree reads.
A total of four individuals were sanctioned, including former First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine in Mykola Azarov's government from December 24, 2012 to January 28, 2014 Serhiy Arbuzov and former Minister of Economic Development and Trade, ex-Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Andriy Klyuyev.
The sanctions include deprivation of state awards of Ukraine and other distinctions, asset blocking, restriction of trade operations, etc. The term of application is "indefinitely; ten years."
